Electronics Engineers of the Philippines Foundation, Inc.


The Electronics Engineers of the Philippines Foundation, Inc (“The IECEP Foundation”) was incorporated in the Philippines and registered with the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC Reg. No. 199819021) on March 23, 1999 as a non-stock, non-profit organization.

The primary purposes of the Foundation are as follows:

  1. To promote the advancement of electronics and telecommunications in the Philippines.

  2. To assist the Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines, Inc (IECEP) and its members including the government and other interested parties in their efforts to promote electronics and telecommunications science and technology.

  3. To research, document, publish and disseminate books, monographs, documents and manuscripts, films, journals and similar projects of IECEP.

  4. To sponsor, fund and conduct, on its own initiative or in cooperation with IECEP, public discussion, seminars, forums, conferences, exhibitions, projects, programs, lectures and presentation promoting electronics and telecommunications science and technology.

    To sponsor, fund, secure and make available such materials and facilities as may be necessary or convenient for the creation and establishment of an electronics and telecommunications standards and testing institute in the Philippines.

  5. To establish, sponsor and/or provide funds for the professional chairs, faculty chairs and for research, instruction and training of faculty, students and scholars in the field of electronics and telecommunications science and technology.

  6. To devote, at least sixty percent (60%) of its gross income as defined in the Internal Revenue Code, and unrestricted donations, to undertakings, directly financing or assisting pure fundamental, or basic and applied scientific and technological research and development activities and/or economic evaluation improvement research, laboratory and library facilities, development of scientific and technological manpower, including the establishment of electronic and technological linkages and services, in any or all but not necessary limited to the following fields: Electronics Industry, Telecommunications Industry, Broadcast Media Industry, Electronics Manufacturing Industry and Information Technology Industry.

  7. To acquire properties, real or personal, receive contributions, grants, gifts, bequests, legacies and donations here and abroad from members and friends of IECEP and non-workers who believe in the development and promotions of purposes and objectives of IECEP, engaged the services of persons and firms, invest its funds, moneys and properties in such undertakings and pursue such activities as the Foundation may desire or need from time to time to carry out its purposes and objectives.

As a non-stock, non-profit organization, the Foundation is exempt from payment of income tax on income received by it pursuant to Section 30 (G) of the Tax Code of 1997, and therefore, need not file an income tax return concerning such income.

The registered office address of the Foundation is 7th Floor, Cityland Shaw Tower, Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City.
